| Inter-Faith Hospitality Network | On November 9th Zion once again opens it's doors to provide a temporary home for those who have lost theirs. For a two-week period, once a year, Zion partners with Greendale People's Church and Salem Covenant Church to be the hands-and-feet-of-Christ in real-time for those who are in need. |
| Refugee Sponsorship | Sometime between September and October Zion will be principally responsible for sponsoring an Iranian gentleman who is locating to the Worceter area.With support from Refugee Immigration Ministries (RIM) Zoin will be taking on this ministry for the following 12 months. This will include setting up the man's apartment with basic furniture and household goods and providing support and transportation to/from doctor appointments, ESL sessions, job interviews, etc. |
| Abbey's House of Worcester | The first Sunday of each month Zion collects non-perishable food items for this important ministry initiative.Additionally our Social Ministry Team collects and creates gifts for the residents and thier children at the holidays. |
| Liberian Aid | Zion is a supporter of this important ministry objective of Concordia Lutheran of Worcester, MA.Joseph Duraname, member of Concordia and MDIV candidate of the ELCA, spearheads this inititave that collects non-perisable food stuffs, dry medical supplies, new/used clothing and toys. The items are collected and shipped annualy via ocean-going container directly to those who are in need. |
| LSS Immigration Resettlement | Zion provides the furniture storage depot for Lutheran Social Services of New England refugee Worcester area resettlement efforts.Zion members generously donate items to this worthy cause while Zion donates the space to LSS. |
