This year is St. Paul's 60th anniversary year! We have events planned for each month of 2012. Please watch for postings of upcoming events and join us for this special celebration. January events include a chili cookoff on January 22 and a presentation by the bell choir on January 29.

This month we welcome 4 new Church Council members: Deb Hageman, Cindy Kruckeberg, Sandie Magnuson, and Julie Michalicek. They join returning Council members: Craig Ament, Cathy McRoberts, Paul Pietsch, and Joe Priebe. A special thanks goes to outgoing members: Sheryl Bewyer, Dick Hanft, Karen Jessen, and Sofie Michalicek.

Our January Mission Cross: the BackPack Program of the North East Iowa Food Bank. This program enables children in need to return home from school with a backpack of kid-friendly, healthy foods that are easy to prepare and eat. This insures that there is food for these children when their parents are working or there just isn't any food in the home. $3.30 provides one child with enough food for one weekend. $26.40 will provide enough food for 8 weekends. Please help by making checks to St.Paul with "BackPack" on the memo line.

A new video lecture series begins this January on the development of the early church. This series, presented by Dr. Luke Johnson, will be shown each Sunday at 9:45am and Wednesday at 6:00pm. Come and join us for this interesting series on our church history!
