We are all part of a family. Each of us knows what family means, but, still, we may all have a different picture of that family.A family is a place where joy and sorrow can be shared. A family is a place where birthdays are celebrated and deaths are grieved.
A family is a very important part of our way of looking at life.
This year's stewardship program at Zion is called, "We are Family!" We believe this is a good way of looking at the church. "We are Family!"
Through our Stewardship emphasis over the next 2-3 years we will celebrate the family of Zion Lutheran Church. We invite our members to share Zion "family" pictures and stories, and we want to put this into an album. This album will be in the form of a video history where we hope to hear and share stories of the life of this church.
We look forward to sharing a history from the early days of this church and then moving into celebrating some of the present ministry at Zion. Your shared stories and photos of current events at Zion are important to this Zion "family" album.
We will continue in the future by seeing where we might be going as a church, serving Christ in our communities and around the world.
Philippians 4:4 says, "May you always be joyful in your life in the Lord. I say it again: rejoice!"
We will rejoice as we see one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. We hope you will join us in this family reunion as we say together, "We are Family!"
