1. EVANGELISM IS: (literally) Great enthusiasm, fervor, or zeal for a particular cause. You may be evangelical about sports, sales, beauty, money, or even evangelical sleeping, but not evangelical about church. 2. CHRISTIAN EVANGELISM is the most abused and misunderstood word on planet earth.
3. EVANGELISM IS: not concerned with impossible game conditions. Evangelism does not complain because the glass, the pews, or the offering, are half empty. Evangelism always looks at opportunity. Our glass is always, half full, and getting fuller, but it will never be completely full.
4. EVANGELISM IS: Living in such a way that God, and His body, the church are made known by who you are.
5. EVANGELISM IS MUTUAL DISCOVERY: Jesus finds us. We find Jesus. And we find each other.
6. EVANGLISM DEMANDS: New evangelizing attitudes. New programs demand new blood. Don’t invite people who are already coming to dinner. Invite the hungry, and the uninvited.
7. EVANGELISM IS: concerned with the body. There are no anonymous body parts in the body of Christ.
8. EVANGELISM IS: the planting and nurturing of baby steps.
9. EVANGELISM IS: God working through us. What will God do through us, to grow this church?
10. STOPPING A PIECE OF WORKStopping a piece of work just because it's hard, either emotionally or imaginatively, is a bad idea. Sometimes you have to go on when you don't feel like it." Quote by Stephen King.
11. HERE IS THE FINAL SECRET. The message of evangelism is not what I thought I told you, but instead, it is what you heard me saying to you about Jesus.
