We're Moving On To New Ministries |
We have made a difficult but necessary decision. Because of a variety of reasons, the most significant being personal, we have decided to end our service in Tanzania. We will return to Africa after a brief European vacation (move over, Chevy Chase!) in August and pack up all our possessions. Our goal is to move back to Maryland in mid-September. There are a lot of details to work out (such as where we will live when we return); however, we know that this is the right thing for us to do at this time. We have had an incredible experience during our two years serving in Africa. It was a chance of a lifetime, and we feel both honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the church and our Lord in this way. We thank you, our sponsors, family and friends, for all your prayers and support during these years of our “African Adventure.” Although we will miss our “home” and friends in Tanzania, it will be good to be back in the U.S. Now, we have to find some ministries to do here! We appreciate your continued prayers for us.

| Our Lutheran Partners |
As Regional Representatives to Tanzania, we are ambassadors to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT). Our role is to continue to strengthen the relationship of accompaniment that exists between our churches. The Lutheran Center in Arusha, Tanzania is the national headquarters of the ELCT. We have an office in this building. |

Clock Tower Circle, the Center of Arusha | A central place in Arusha Town is the Clock Tower Roundabout. The Lutheran Center is less than a city block from the tower. |
Arusha is a busy city that has many amenities. Because of the tourist trade, there is a mix of stores catering to tourist and local needs. |
