MEMBERSHIP
Our membership that we annually report to the Evangelical Lutheran Church headquarters is small. This helps us to maintain friendly and brotherly relationships with every member of Christ Lutheran Church.


We currently count 191 Baptized members and 136 Confirmed members
Our average attendance is about 60 every Sunday.

About 50 ELCA congregations are located in the state of Washington alone.

AFFILIATION

We are affiliated to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) formed in January 1, 1988, by combining three separate North American churches:
* The American Lutheran Church
* The Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches
* The Lutheran Church in America

In 2008, the church has 4.8 million members and nearly 10,500 congregations across the U.S. and the Caribbean Islands.

However, our heritage can be traced to the middle of the 17th century, when Lutherans came to America from Europe, settling in the Virgin Islands and the area that is now known as New York. Before that, in the 16th century, Martin Luther seeking to reform the church , laid the framework for our beliefs.

Our faith is built on our strong belief in God made known to us in Jesus Christ. Through worship, service, and education, we practice our faith, grow our relationship with God and experience God's grace in our lives.
We are sponsored by the Southwestern Washington Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America comprised of 93 congregations and 2 Synodically Authorized Worshipping Communities in an area spanning from Federal Way to the Washington- Oregon border and from the Cascades to the Pacific Ocean.
