Welcome! |
This site provides basic disaster preparation for families to take helpful steps in doing the best job possible to be ready for a broad range of disasters from individual to communal, from natural to man-made. It also serves as a repository and resource for Tri-LERT (Tri Lutheran Emergency Response Team)which encompasses all of Nevada except Las Vegas, California north of Bakersfield, and Hawaii. It is the ministry area served by a convergence of the respective operations of the CNH District of the LC-MS, the Sierra Pacific Synod of the ELCA, and LSS-NorCal. Use this site for your own personal needs or, if you are a member of the Tri-LERT leadership team, use the resources which have been compiled to assist in being a blessing to those whom God has entrusted to your care. The Meaning of Our Name: Tri: * As Lutherans, perhaps the first level of meaning that comes to mind is that we believe in a God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. * Another meaning comes from the collaboration which makes up Tri-LERT-- CNH District (LCMS), Lutheran Social Services of Northern California (LDR affiliate), Sierra Pacific Synod (ELCA). * A third meaning comes from our service area: Nevada (except Las Vegas), Upstate California (north of Bakersfield), and Hawaii. LERT: This is a common reference beginning to be adopted by a number of Lutheran disaster response teams. It stands for Lutheran Emergency Response Team. | | | When it comes to disasters, it's always best to have a plan...a good one. Click here to see an example. | |
