Youth & Families
In today’s secular world, opportunities abound for youth to participate in myriad sports and other activities, many of which contribute wonderfully to their health and social development. When both spouses have demanding careers and when there are multiple children, free time can be in precious short supply. Helping busy families maintain perspective and allow room for Christ is perhaps the single biggest issue of our time and one that requires a different kind of strategy. Savvy pastors and congregations have long known that brow beating is no way to foster spiritual engagement or church growth. Alternatively, thriving churches today are flexible enough to embrace busy families and help them find time for Christ and find him in places they may not be accustomed to looking.
