New Year's Eve Party!

Toasting marshmallows!
We end our program with a party to celebrate new friendships and a New Year.

This evening is pretty much about having fun. Things we have done in the past:

* Roasting hot dogs and toasting marshmallows over an open fire

* Taking a walk in the woods by lantern light

* Playing all kinds of indoor games; favorites are "Spoons" and "Pit"

* Enjoying all kinds of great food


Just how would you look as an Amish person?
In addition, one of the fun traditions that typically happens on this night is dressing in bonnets, hats and shawls, just as an Amish person would do. Most times, host families will get in on the fun and dress up for photos with students.

Be sure to have your camera for these special moments!


Making noise to celebrate the New Year
At midnight, we'll welcome the incoming New Year with a champagne toast and noisemakers and share wishes for peace and happiness with everyone.

The New Year's Eve party is the last official CIH activity.
