Women Of Our Hope
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Women of Our Hope is spiritual growth by studying God"s word by showing God"s love through our service to the congregation and to those in need by encouraging fellowship and by serving as a point of entry into the congregation.

MEMBERSHIP
All women who are communicant members of Our Hope are invited and encouraged to attend any or all of the monthly meetings held from September through May. We do not have monthly dues, but a free will offering is taken at each meeting, which goes toward missions or to purchase an item of need in our congregation.

MEETINGS
The regular meeting is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM. Pastor begins with devotion and Bible study. The business meeting fellows.

LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY SOCIETY: (LWMS)
LWMS is a combined groug of women from all WELS congregations in our Northwest Wisconsin Circuit. Each church takes a turn hosting a spring and fall rally ehere a guest speaker may present their experiences from the world or home missions. There is a reporter in each congregation who receives news from the circuit and national office. Mission box money is collected from each congregation members to support the world and home missions.

Adult Choir
Our Hope Adult Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from September through Confirmation Sunday, sometime after Easter. We meet at 6:30PM in the loft above the sanctuary. There are no try outs. Everyone is welcome. We strive for good sound, but when we fail that we know we achieve having a good time. Come join us.
Quilts For Missions
The women of Our Hope recognized that through the LWMS Quilt Project, they'd be able to help support the work of sharing the gospel in mission fields by sewing quilts. Many quilts are needed throughout the world, but currently the Northwest Wisconsin Circuit quilts are sent to WELS Northside Lutheran Ministry Center in Milwaukee, WI.
This center is a storefront ministry in the Milwaukee community around 26th Street and North Ave. It is a base for serval ministries that work to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in this area. It is not a Food Pantry or Thrift Shop, only a place to worship.
Our Hope ladies met for the first time on April 21, 2008 to get organized, and have been meeting monthly ever since. There's a small nucleus of faithful women (with lots of cheer-leaders) who religiously work to finish as many quilts as possible. They are turned in at the spring and Fall LWMS Rallies.
Most of the pieced-quilts are the nine-patch pattern and are very colorful. Of course, individuals also turn in attractive contributions that they've made or acquired. The group is always in need of good quality cotton prints or plain pieces of fabric. Currently they're meeting the first Thursday of each month at 1:00PM at the church and all women are weclome.
