HEALTH MINISTRY NEWS
The 12 week Your Whole Life journey to wholeness class has been completed. The class consisted of a 3D plan of Diet, Discipline, and Discipleship written by Carol Showalter and Maggie Davis. The 3D plan is inspired by the words of Jesus, "Your faith has made you whole." It considers the whole person- physical, emotional, and spiritual healing helping people tc gain balance in their lives and form a deeper relationship with God. The diet or eating right component discussed developing healthy eating habits emphasizing lifestyle changes in order to foster weight loss. We had a group total weight loss of 52 pounds. Way to go ladies!
The living well component incorporated enjoying good wholesome food, caring for our bodies through exercise, enjoying God's awesome beauty of nature, and handling our emotions in a positive light.
The loving God portion provided wisdom and encouragement through daily devotional readings along with weekly scriptures. Leading this class has been such a rewarding experience . to see women in our group succeed with learning how to care for themselves by eating right, living well and loving God.
Thank you all for having the courage to share your stories and be a part of this class. I wish you all many blessings as you continue on with your journey of wholeness through mind, body and spirit. Special thanks to Nicki Nelson for leading exercise. We all appreciated your wonderful expertise.
The group has decided to continue onto the next session called Open Your Heart- maintaining current healthy lifestyle changes and digging a little deeper on the spiritual side of life while nurturing spiritual growth and maturity.
