Youth In Missions Fundraisers
SATURDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 13TH - ADULT VALENTINE DINNER DANCE from 6 - 10 p.m. Tickets $25/person. Not only are you helping Youth in Missions by buying a ticket, you will partake of a delicious meal and get to dance (or watch others dance) afterwards! Dinner will be first and will include soup, salad, chicken, meatless mostacolli, mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert. Coffee, lemonade and water will be available throughout the night. Once dinner is done, we will start dancing to the great oldies (mostly 50's - 90's, no rap music!). Couples and singles welcome. Geared toward adults, but kids are welcome if they have a ticket. Please join us for this fun fund raiser!

CELL PHONE DRIVE-New fund raiser with no products to buy! Youth In Missions is asking that you donate any unused cell phones that you have at home. Did you know that most households have 5 - 6 unused cell phones sitting around? All we need is the cell phone and battery; chargers and other accessories not needed. Collection boxes can be found in the church and school offices. Please also ask your extended family, friends and co-workers if they have any unwanted cell phones that they would like to donate. We can get additional collection boxes for business places to use. We would like to send the first batch in within the month so please help us out this week. Collection bags are available on the youth bulletin board. Thanks for your continued support! (The phones will be utilized for 911 purposes, redeployed nationwide and used in developing countries.)

News
YOUTH NIGHT BIBLE STUDY HAS CHANGED TO YOUTH AFTERNOON! In an effort to increase attendance and make people's schedules a little easier, we will now meet on the first Sunday of the month right after second service. If it is a holiday weekend, we will not meet until the second Sunday. Bring clothes to change into if you want to play basketball or bring your favorite CDs, cards or board games if you prefer those activities. We will still offer pizza and pop/water and request a $3 donation per person to cover the cost. We will still meet for 3 hours, so rides should be here at 3:30 p.m. Please join us and bring a friend! NEXT MEETING IS FEBRUARY 7th!

Youth in Missions 2010
This year’s Youth to Alaska project will be similar to last year. Participants will work with Pastor Todd Roeske, a missionary in Alaska, to run a week-long vacation bible school at Copper Center, teaching children of all ages.

Youth to Lithuania will also be similar to last year. Participants will work with Pastor Romas Lechavicius of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lithuania (ELCL), running a vacation bible school for unchurched high schoolers. Must be a high school senior or older to participate.

Youth to North Carolina will serve the people of Appalachia by installing septic systems and doing home repair.

A MEETING FOR ALL YOUTH IN MISSIONS GROUPS. We will meet on Sunday, January 31st after second service. We will start by discussing fund raiser details with the Board of Youth, followed by an information/getting organized meeting with Pastor and Mrs. Spangler. Parents are welcome to attend. All participants and leaders must attend.
