While and since Walburg has never been defined, we are taking the liberty to do so know in a unique kind of way, as it relates to the town center, Mittel Walburg. Walburg could also be geographically defined as the high ground between the Opossum Creek (to the east)and what local residents call the Little Possum Creek (to the west) and the opposite low ground along the creeks.
Mittel (Middle) Walburg - The historic center of Walburg to include the Walburg German Restaurant, US Post Office, Walburg Bank Building, Dale's Essenhaus and residences along FM 972 and FM 1105.
Ober (Upper) Walburg - Area from St Peters Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church to include Walburg Heights.
Walburg Tal (Valley) - Area along FM 1105 from Walburg Heights to Theon.
Nieder (Lower) Walburg - Area from the Walburg Gin to area adjacent to the Little Possum Creek.
Ost (East) Walburg - From the Walburg Community Center to Twin Creeks Estates and the Opossum Creek.

Sud-West (Southwest) Walburg - County Road 150 to the Schwausch Hill.
West Walburg - West on FM 972 from St Peters Lutheran Church to the intersection of FM 972 and the Little Possum Creek.
Glasscock-Bethke Weg (Road) - From County Road 150 to the end of Glasscock-Bethke Road.
Kleine Walburg Luppe (Small Walburg Loop) - area along County Road 317/316 to include Freedom Road.
Grosse Walburg Luppe (Large Walburg Loop) - area south from FM 972 along County Road 329, Red Bird Lane, County Road 156 and 153 to its intersection with FM 1105.
