We are an ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Congregation located in the historic Warnersville community since the early 1970s. We are a unique congregation with a mixture of ages, races and life experiences. We offer some traditional Lutheran worship elements flavored by the African American experience. You are invited to worship with us every Sunday, at 11:00 am, to find out more.Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is also a Center for Health and Wellness - spiritual, mental and physical. Warnersville Healthy Community Project Proposal |
 * At the POPLC Congregational Meeting held June 5, 2011, the congregation voted to participate in the Warnersville Healthy Communities Project.It is our intent to use our property for a community garden / urban farm with the goal of providing more affordable, accessible, and healthy fresh foods to our community as part of our health & wholeness ministry focus. HEALTH MINISTRY with Parish Nurse, Sharon Muckenfuss: Wednesday 10:30 am, “Healthy Lifestyles Review” class Wednesday 11:00 am, Chair Yoga Every 3rd Wed. of the month, we provide a "Lunch and Learn” after the Yoga class. DECIDED AT CONGREGATIONAL MEETING JAN 16 2011 Prince of Peace Lutheran Church: A Center for Service • Publicly identify our congregation as a “center for service” for our community • Make our building available as a meeting place for expressions of concerns and needs • Organize the congregationʼs resources to meet the primary needs and concerns • Seek to bring other agencies into action to meet the expressed needs • Collaborate with other agencies (SEE LINKS BELOW) in order to eliminate duplication of efforts Our primary focus will be: HEALTH in our congregation and neighborhood households (physical, mental, spiritual) | | ELCA World Hunger responds to hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world by addressing root causes. Through a comprehensive program of relief, development, education, and advocacy, people are connected to the resources they need to lift themselves out of poverty. |

Greensboro Urban Ministry is an ecumenical outreach agency providing crisis intervention and emergency services through the basics of food, shelter, and clothing, but we also help many individuals and families break the cycles of poverty, hunger, addiction, and homelessness. |
