First worship at Agape
We are pleased to announce the formation of a new Lutheran Worshiping Community. Agape Evangelical Lutheran Church will begin worshiping as a Synodically Authorized Worshiping Community of the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA on Sunday, June 5th, 2011.
We are also excited to announce that the Reverend Brenda Bynum will serve as our pastor and worship leader during this phase of our ministry. We feel truly blessed to have Brenda’s leadership and spiritual gifts as we seek God’s guidance in shaping this new ministry. We are also blessed to have Rebecca Brooks providing our music.

We will begin worshiping in the former sanctuary of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church. This is located at 825 Union Road and is now part of the complex for the Gaston School of the Arts. This complex is beside the Arby’s at the corner of Garrison and Union.

Front and side entrances are provided to the sanctuary. The parking lot is beside the complex (church) off of Union Road. Please note that the entrance to the parking lot is one-way; exits from the parking lot are located at the rear of the complex.

It's official! All the "i's" are dotted and "t's" are crossed. Philadelphia Evangelical Lutheran Church is our Church of Record otherwise known as sponsor. Membership to Agape is forthcoming! Watch this page for more exciting news to come. Thanks be to God for things done in this process as we journey forward into the future together. If you have never worshiped with us, please come.
