Introduction
The annual "Das Gottesjahr" [= "The year of God"] - founded by Pastor Walther Kalbe in 1921 and since published 1923 by the publishing house "Greifenverlag" - was edited from 1924 to 1939 by Wilhelm Stählin. Since 1929 "The year of God" was published by the publishing house "Bärenreiter-Verlag" in the City of Kassel as the annual of the Berneuchener Konferenz [= Conference of Berneuchen]. Each annual had its own topic treated in several essays. "The year of God" was expanded by the "Jahresbriefe des Berneuchener Kreises" [= the yearly Newsletters of the circle of friends of Berneuchen]. Both papers must cease their publication in 1940. Since 1948 the "Evangelischen Jahresbriefe" [= "Evangelical annual Newsletters] are published as their successors, since 1952 under the title "Quatember" four times a year by the "Berneuchener Gemeinschaften [= communities of Berneuchen].
