CHAPEL was led this week by Pastor Birtell. He reminded us of a Gatorade commercial where the colored drink is coming out of the athlete when they sweat. “Is it in you?” is the slogan. That makes us think about Jesus being in us! Does His love and grace flow out of us? It sure does! People can see Jesus in us when we care for others, like the Keyes family, or Food for the Poor. People see Jesus in us when we present the Christmas program, sing songs of praise, and show joy in learning His Word.

CHOIR NOTES The children will sing this Sunday. They should meet at 9:45 in the basement to warm up, and should wear their 3:16 shirts and black pants/skirts.

CHIRSTMAS PROGRAM PRACTICE CHANGE We will practice this Sunday morning, and Tuesday, December 23rd from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. Please note this time change. This is so they can practice with the adult choir.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS We are asking parents to send $2-$3 to help cover expenses for the Christmas gifts/crafts the children made. Thanks!

ADVENT MEALS Thanks to everyone who helped with the spaghetti bake! The students appreciated the hot lunch they next day, also! Thanks to Libby, Cindy, Betsy, Dawn B., Annette J., Ruth, Kim J., Vicky and Shari M for doing the cooking and working!!

ADOPTIVE PARENTS Out students have really enjoyed having special Christian adults in their lives – their adoptive parents from St. John’s. We made a special craft for them this Christmas and sent a card made by people the served in the Caribbean by Food for the Poor. Special thanks to Dawn Beck for helping with our craft!

CLASSROOM PARTIES Thanks to these parents for helping with our parties: Dawn B and Dawn H. in the Little Room, Libby and Annette in the Middle Room, and Julie and Cindy in the Big Room.

END OF SEMESTER The semester ends today, December 19th. Report cards will be mailed home Tuesday, December 23rd.

CLASSES RESUME on Tuesday, January 6th. Please note that our calendars have incorrectly said Monday, January 6th. The date is correct, the day is not!
