HELP
Forest County Social Services
Since our mission is spiritual and funds can be abused, our
congregation does not provide funds directly to any individual.
We support social services through our taxes and encourage
our members to volunteer time and support to agencies which
can adequately assess and address a person's needs and help.

If you are in need of material assistance, contact the local
Social Services agency. Information is provided at the following
link.

Trapped By A Compulsive Habit?
Habits which control us tend to sap out of us the means
to take care of our regular needs. When we become addicted
to alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, or pornography, it can
destroy the things that we really do LOVE most. We don't
want to hurt other people. We don't want to rely on others
for help. We don't want to secretly take (steal) from the
people who trust us... but we find ourselves caught and
driven by an impulse that we hate.

Before anyone else gets hurt or you hurt yourself anymore,
seek help. As strong as we might think that we are, all of
us need help in one shape or another. God is our help.
Nothing is impossible for him. Don't wait to seek his aid,
and the tools and people he offers to help you. Don't hide.
Don't let shame prevent you from seeking help. You are not
alone.

End of Life
Have you been diagnosed with a terminal illness?
Christ told his followers, "Whoever lives and believes in me will
never die."

Do you believe that? How do you build up your trust in these
incredible words? Contact your pastor or if you have no church
affiliation, contact our church. Christ gave us the Bible, so that
we might have eternal life.

There are other concerns, too. The Northwoods has hospice
services provided by Ministry Health Care. Follow the link for
more information.

Protect Our Children
Take the safety of your children seriously. Keep current photos of your children available.
Be a good neighbor. Check the Wisconsin Amber alerts regularly. Who knows? You might help a child get home... safe and sound!
For more information on how to protect your children, click on the link to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (Bottom Right).

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
Since 1997 the sexual exploitation of children over the internet has increased 1500%.
That makes an awful market out of children. Not only do we want to keep our children safe,
but we have the power to help others! If you have information about someone possessing child
pornography, or of someone enticing a child over the internet, you have the moral responsibility
of notifying the authorities.
