"Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the Word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His unfailing love." - Psalm 33:1-5 |

Trinity's Wicks Pipe Organ | | Trinity Lutheran Church Organists |
When Trinity Lutheran Church dedicated its 19 1/2 rank organ in 1953, it was Billings' largest pipe organ. In 1998, the congregation contracted with the Wicks Organ Company to preserve, update, and expand its cherished instrument. In addition to replacing worn-out electrical contacts with solid-state technology, the organ pipes and chambers were thoroughly cleaned and adjusted.A few ranks were rescaled to add brilliance to the heavy principal tone of the organ through the 2' Super Octave, the 1 3/5' Tierce, and Mixture 15th. New digital technology offered a cost-effective way to add even more sounds. The 8' Fanfare Trumpet excites and inspires the worshipper in festival singing, and the 32' Violone, 16' Bombarde, and the 4' Rohrschalmei bring depth and pungency to pedal playing. The digital 8' Gemshorn Celeste complements the original 8' Gemshorn for quieter meditations. An optical keying system utilizes laser technology. This increases the precision and consistency of the keyboards so that the lively melodies of a toccata or prelude sound cleaner and more pleasing to the listener. MIDI controls built into the organ provide a method to add an unlimited array of sounds from digital keyboards. Utilizing programming functions, the musician can record the orchestration of sixteen different tracks. This allows the performer to arrange, direct, and play back an entire orchestra that can accompany the pipe organ, which is played live. The combination of live pipes playing with digital orchestral sounds creates harmonics that fill the sanctuary with musical praise. Sola Deo Gloria! Organists: Ted Kober, Sonja Kober, Doris Jannings, Cindy Speed | | |

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music
in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:19-20

The Venite - Psalm 95 Oh come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving: and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God: and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the Hills is his also. The sea is His, and he made it: and His hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For He is our God: and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. |
